Many of the suggestions often include to please involve more weapons, clothing, or guns.
The aim of this page is to explain to you why we only use our in-house mods and try to avoid mods by external creator.

We can understand the excitement of these things, they are of course a lot of fun and you have variety.
Many of the suggestions we receive include requests for more weapons, clothing or general assets in all shapes and forms. We can understand the enthusiasm for these things from a player's point of view and understand that these are the things that are directly used by you and therefore have a high impact on the fun of the game. Unfortunately, however, the past has shown that dependence on external people has negative aspects for us as developers and also for you as players. Here are a few examples:

With this text we want to explain to you why we almost only use our own mods and as far as possible do without external ones.
* Arma Reforger title, which is being actively expanded by the developers. Even with active development, there are often bugs at one point or another that need to be closely monitored in order to understand how they affect our systems/are caused by our systems. The addition of dependencies increases the number of potential sources of errors.
* Many mods have to be adapted with every Arma update. As we don't have access to external mods. We would have to rely on the work of external developers. This can lead to longer downtimes.
* The interaction of different mods can lead to major outages that are difficult to track.
* Since external mods are not ours (who would have thought? :P), mods can be removed from the workshop at any time and we/you would lose your items. We would therefore have to put in a lot of support effort to compensate for damage that comes from sources beyond our control.
* External mods can also pose a security risk to our systems.

* Arma Reforger is still an early access title. There are always a lot of bugs that we have to monitor closely. External mods make this difficult.
''Nevertheless, we selectively ask selected creators for cooperation in order to fulfil your suggestions. However, this only happens from our side.''
* With each Arma update, many mods need to be adjusted. Since we do not have access to external mods. We would have to rely on the work of external developers. So this could lead to longer downtimes.
* The interaction of different mods can lead to major failures, which is difficult to track.
* Since these mods are not from ourselves, mods can be removed from the workshop at any time and we / you would lose their items. So we would have to spend a lot of support effort
* External mods can also create a security risk for our systems.

I hope this text helps you to understand why we do not want to use any more external mods at the moment. We can't say at the moment what this might look like in the future.

The aim of this page is to explain to you why we only use our in-house mods and try to avoid mods by external creator.

  • Arma Reforger title, which is being actively expanded by the developers. Even with active development, there are often bugs at one point or another that need to be closely monitored in order to understand how they affect our systems/are caused by our systems. The addition of dependencies increases the number of potential sources of errors.
  • Many mods have to be adapted with every Arma update. As we don't have access to external mods. We would have to rely on the work of external developers. This can lead to longer downtimes.
  • The interaction of different mods can lead to major outages that are difficult to track.
  • Since external mods are not ours (who would have thought? :P), mods can be removed from the workshop at any time and we/you would lose your items. We would therefore have to put in a lot of support effort to compensate for damage that comes from sources beyond our control.
  • External mods can also pose a security risk to our systems.

Nevertheless, we selectively ask selected creators for cooperation in order to fulfil your suggestions. However, this only happens from our side.

I hope this text helps you to understand why we do not want to use any more external mods at the moment. We can't say at the moment what this might look like in the future.
