Many of the suggestions often include to please involve more weapons, clothing, or guns.

We can understand the excitement of these things, they are of course a lot of fun and you have variety.

With this text we want to explain to you why we almost only use our own mods and as far as possible do without external ones.

  • Arma Reforger is still an early access title. There are always a lot of bugs that we have to monitor closely. External mods make this difficult.
  • With each Arma update, many mods need to be adjusted. Since we do not have access to external mods. We would have to rely on the work of external developers. So this could lead to longer downtimes.
  • The interaction of different mods can lead to major failures, which is difficult to track.
  • Since these mods are not from ourselves, mods can be removed from the workshop at any time and we / you would lose their items. So we would have to spend a lot of support effort
  • External mods can also create a security risk for our systems.

I hope this text helps you to understand why we don't want to use any other external mods at the moment. How this might be in the future, we can't say at the moment.
